Stephen King's "It" set to rise again as a movie
Warner Bros. is bringing horror novelist Stephen King's It to life again on the big screen. Screenwriter Dave Kajganich is set to adapt the story. The story follows a group of kids called "The Loser Club". They encounter the creature called "It", which preys on children, and whose favorite form is the sadistic clown, "Pennywise". When the kids are later adults, they are called back to regroup, and once again take Pennywise down. The novel is set in 1958 and 1985, but the film will be set in present day.
It was a best-selling book of 1986, and was turned into a T.V. series in 1990. The series starred John Ritter , Harry Anderson , Tim Reid, Annette O'Toole and Richard Thomas, with Tim Curry playing Pennywise.

Scarlett Johansson is Confirmed to Replace Emily Blunt as Black Widow
Nikki Finke has confirmed that Scarlett Johansson will replace Emily Blunt as Natasha Romanoff (aka the Black Widow) in Iron Man 2, The Avengers, and other connected Marvel adaptations. Scarlett had already screen-tested for the role, but lost it to Blunt. But not too long ago, it was revealed that Blunt might have to step down from playing Black Widow due to a schedule conflict with Gulliver's Travels. Eliza Dushku had since then tossed her name up for consideration, but apparently Jon Favreau and Marvel want bigger names for this part. Blunt's reps are still trying to get the schedule under alignment, but Iron Man 2 still doesn't have a start date or schedule.

Opening This Weekend - Friday, March 13th, 2009
Here we are, at yet another Friday the 13th. This is the second one so far this year. Let's see what's coming out this weekend.
The Last House on the Left
In this remake of Wes Craven's 1972 cult classic, Mari and her friend are kidnapped by a prison escapee and his crew. Terrified and left for dead, Mari's only hope is to make it back to parents John and Emma. Unfortunately, her attackers unknowingly seek shelter at the one place she could be safe. And when her family learns the horrifying story, they will make three strangers curse the day they came to the Last House on the Left. Starring Garret Dillahunt, Michael Bowen, and Monica Potter. Rated R for sadistic brutal violence including a rape and disturbing images, language, nudity and some drug use.
Miss March
A young man awakens from a four-year coma to hear that his once virginal high-school sweetheart has since become a centerfold in one of the world's most famous men's magazines. He and his sex-crazed best friend decide to take a cross-country road trip in order to crash a party at the magazine's legendary mansion headquarters and win back the girl. Starring two of "The Whitest Kids U Know," Zach Cregger and Trevor Moore. Rated R for strong crude and sexual content, nudity, pervasive language and some drug use.
Race to Witch Mountain
For years, stories have circulated about a secret place in the middle of the Nevada desert, known for unexplained phenomena and strange sightings. It is called Witch Mountain, and when a Las Vegas cab driver (Dwayne Johnson) finds two teens with supernatural powers in his cab, he suddenly finds himself in the middle of an adventure he can't explain.
When they discover that the only chance to save the world lies in unraveling the secrets of Witch Mountain, the race begins, as the government, mobsters and even extraterrestrials try to stop them. Starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, AnnaSophia Robb, and Cheech Marin. Rated PG for sequences of action and violence, frightening and dangerous situations, and some thematic elements.
Brothers at War
With a desire to know his brothers better, and see the war in Iraq first hand, Jake Rademacher journeys to Mosul, Iraq to embed in his brother's unit. Capt. Isaac Rademacher, a West Point graduate, and 2nd in command of an elite Long Range Surveillance Company, gives him access to the world of Intelligence and Operations before embedding him on a secret mission to recon the Syrian Border.
During this humorous and perilous journey, he not only sees insurgents sneak across the border, but more importantly gains insight into the heart of the American Soldier. As Jake further explores Iraq, by heading north to Kurdistan, Isaac returns to a young daughter who does not remember him.
After six weeks of adventures in Iraq, Jake returns only to have his experience rejected by his 19 year old youngest brother, Corporal Joseph Rademacher, a combat veteran and sniper with the 82nd Airborne. Jake returns to Iraq, and embeds with three combat units in the heart of the Sunni Triangle.
As the combat action intensifies, so does his understanding of his brothers' war in Iraq. In addition to providing an up close and personal view of our soldiers at war, "Brothers at War" is a deeply personal view of a family divided, but ultimately profoundly bonded by the crucible of war. Rated R for language and a brief war image.
Sunshine Cleaning
Once the high school cheerleading captain who dated the quarterback, Rose Lorkowski (Academy Award® nominee Amy Adams) now finds herself a thirty something single mother working as a maid. Her sister Norah, (Golden Globe® winner Emily Blunt), is still living at home with their dad Joe (Academy Award® winner Alan Arkin), a salesman with a lifelong history of ill-fated get rich quick schemes.
Desperate to get her son into a better school, Rose persuades Norah to go into the crime scene clean-up business with her to make some quick cash. In no time, the girls are up to their elbows in murders, suicides and other…specialized situations. As they climb the ranks in a very dirty job, the sisters find a true respect for one another and the closeness they have always craved finally blossoms. By building their own improbable business, Rose and Norah open the door to the joys and challenges of being there for one another--no matter what--while creating a brighter future for the entire Lorkowski family. Starring Academy Award Nominee Amy Adams, Golden Globe Winner Emily Blunt, and Academy Award Winner Alan Arkin. Rated R for language, disturbing images, some sexuality and drug use.

Vin Diesel Hints at Third "Riddick" Movie
In a recent interview with GameSpot about the upcoming The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena video game, Vin Diesel hinted at a third Chronicles of Riddick movie.
GS: "The current state of a third movie in the Riddick series seems a little uncertain to the casual fan right now. How does that affect the writing and story explored in the new Dark Athena content? Does it sort of give you guys more room to explore this fiction, or does that change anything about how you've approached this game?"
VD: "Good question. Maybe we're too tight-lipped about the next Chronicles of Riddick film, and I think circa the release of [Dark Athena] that's probably when you'll start hearing more about the next Riddick film. It is underway and I almost think it's a coincidence that we haven't heard anything, that there hasn't been a lot of public stuff on the Riddick movie."

What Did You Think of "Watchmen"?
I am going to start posting a new discussion blog every Monday, asking my readers what they thought of the new releases for that weekend. Watchmen has finally come out, after many months of waiting, and many more months in court, but that is a whole different story. I wasn't fortunate enough to see it this weekend because of a busy schedule. So I'm asking whoever is reading this, did you see Watchmen? If so, was it as good as you thought it would be? Better? What did you love? What did you hate? Do you think it was too long? Leave your reviews in the comments.
Dakota Fanning Cast in "New Moon".
Although not a free movie review, according to /Film, Dakota Fanning, who has played in numerous movies, including Man on Fire, War of the Worlds, and the new Coraline, is set to play in The Twilight Saga's New Moon. Rumors first started in January, and they were finally confirmed over the weekend. The young actress is cast to play Jane, the smallest member of the Volturi, a group of Italian vampires who act as the moderators and guardians of all vampires, making sure that the humans stay oblivious to their existence.
In New Moon, Edward goes to the Volturi clan, after a misunderstanding about Bella's well-being, to ask them to end his life. Filming is set to start later this month, and the movie is set to have a November 20th, 2009 release.

Free Saw I Movie Review
Thanks for visiting. Here is my free movie review of "Saw". I watched this a while back, not knowing what to expect. It was about eleven o'clock when I started it, and it was very dark. I put it in the DVD player, and sat back to watch it... As soon as it started, I was hooked. The filmography was great, and it had Cary Elwes in it. It had a great and very original story-line, something that is hard to come by these days. It's about a guy, who tries to teach people to appriciate life, by putting them through "tests" that involve killing other people, self-mutilation, and sometimes even impossible tasks before they run out of time. He thinks that their close encounter with death will allow them to see the true beauty in life. The best part about it is the end, which serves a twist like no other I've seen before... Watch it if you haven't seen it...
